Good quality….does what it’s supposed to.
It truly worked as advertised. It does help to have a little knowledge in βtechyβ things, but their customer service walked me through everything to get it set-up.
For anyone wondering, it works great with my cable box and MythTV, although you need a separate IR blaster and custom script to change channels.
Documentation is much better than another brand that I purchased a couple of years ago. Have been running a full HD stream and a substream to Facebook.
Out of the box, it was fairly easy to get on my network and change encoder settings which were all straightforward. But when it came time to send the feed out to a streaming service, things got complicated. You should have some basic IT knowledge using this device. The stream itself looks fantastic! But setting up the routers and subnet masks and IP addresses to all communicate together was a daunting task. After a one-hour phone call with Sal over at j tech support we were able to get it up and running no problem. I can’t thank the support team over there enough. They were extremely helpful and patient. And there was no wait to speak to a real person. I can’t comment on longevity as I just started using the device. But if customer service is any indication a product worth, I should be good for some time.
Does exactly what you need to broadcast on Facebook. Easy to configure once you know how! Only disadvantage is that you audio source MUST come through your HDMI source. This was a problem for us because of our camera. I’d recommend this to anyone that wants to use just a camera with its built-in audio.
It delivers a good image quality and has a similar user interface to the Vecaster HDMI encoder. You can stream up to two 1080P streams simultaneously. If one wants to use four streams then he has to reduce the resolution for sub stream 1.
Much better than expected. This is perfect for my application and quality is stable and really good. I recommend
Great quality, excellent tech support. I’ve been using J-Tech products since 2015. No signal one failed on me. Tech support is prompt, thorough, polite, and getting the job done.
I am running 4 Amazon FireTV sticks. They are each connected to a Goronya HDMI 4X1 Quad Multi-Viewer and decoded by the J-Tech Digital H.264 Encoder that puts the streams on the network. A SiliconDust HDHomerun duo provides OTA TV through the FireTV app.I use VLC as my video streaming software. It allows watching 4 streams simultaneously anywhere on the network on any (and multiple) devices simultaneously. It also lets me cast the same streams to monitors that are not connected to a PC or other device. The FireTV sticks are remote controlled from anywhere on the network with the Fire TV android app. the FireTV remotes (four of them) aren’t used at all. When running 4 HD programs at the same time our Internet load varies from 30-60mb on our 100mb Internet service. The J-Tech Digital Encoder handles all this tomfoolery without complaint with very high quality video and sound. It is a really awesome device. Highly recommended!!
